Service is a key component of many of Mendaki's programmes. Young Minds Club, for instance, is an enrichment programme with a core Service Learning component. Such activities allow Mendaki to contribute to society while at the same time inspiring the young through the learning potential of such work. In addition, Mendaki seek to provide young Malay/Muslims with role models and exposure to critical issues of the day, to ensure that the young are constantly developed and prepared to be competitive internationally. Mendaki also build bridges to strengthen understanding between other communities locally and internationally.
Additionally, non-malays and non-Singaporeans are allowed to join the club as well. Mendaki aims to build bridges with other communities and to engage in sharing multiple perspectives as well as to build bridges inter and intra community-wise, hoping to bring more partners on board with their initiatives, hence effectively uniting the community.
